Got my next MG novel planned out now

I've planned it out 5 chapters at a time and only given the rough idea of what happens in those 5 chapters so far.

Means I can let my imagination write more of the novel than sticking rigidly to chapter by chapter plans!  Yay!  👍

Edited just a PB today...

Hopefully I'll remember to take my supplements tomorrow so that I'll be less tired and more creative so that I can edit more than just a PB in one day!

Just finished editing another novella

My first ever sci-fi novella is now edited... didn't get much done today though, so I'm just gonna take me pills and head to bed again now.

Editted 2 PBs and a YA sci-fi novella today

After a rocky start I managed to edit 3 MSs today and I'm hoping for at least that every day for the rest of this week!

I really don't like editing, but don't want to send out a MS before it's ready either!

I don't *really* want to write today, I want to edit, right?

After a blissful 22 days of writing, I'm totally out of ideas of things to write, but I've got a small mountain of manuscripts needing to be edited.  👀

Was going to leave editing until the end of the week, but my brain damage has already wiped my memory, again, so I'm gonna start working on the editing today instead.

We're having baked beans and chips for lunch so I'll start editing after we've eaten  👌

Just put the final full stop in my second novel of the month!

I have now, officially, written 58,000 words in 22 days!

Gonna have tomorrow off then write a picture book at the end of the week, ready to start editing on 1st Feb!

Yay me!

About to make a start on the final chapter.  It'll be 58,000 words in 22 days if I manage to finish the ECB before I hit the sack!  Yay me!

Two down, two to go now

Chapter 9 will be James going back to the doctor for a diagnosis and chapter 10 will be James feeling able to go up and down the stairs on the 'wrong' side at last.

That'll be two MSs written in January, instead of just 'Don't bother' - yay me!

Just written chapter 7 and I'm in a creative mood now, so hopefully the last 3 chapters will flow out of me by the time the shopping gets here tonight!

I've just ended chapter 6 so I'm right on track to finish the whole ECB tomorrow evening, hopefully!

If I have a lazy or uncreative day, I'll finish chapter 10 on Tuesday instead, ready to start editing at the end of the week.

That means I'll have 17 MSs to edit before I start planning out my next novel lol

Chapter 5 done and chapter 6 started

I seem to be more creative in the evenings 'cos I've written more in the last 2 hours than the rest of the day combined!

Chapter 4 written

Just finished writing chapter 4 and I need to remember that James is good at English while Alice is good at Maths.

Stopping for lunch now then I'll write two more chapters this afternoon which'll mean I've written more in one day than I did in the previous three days combined!

After a slow start this morning...

I walked the pup, took my supplements and struggled to write 250 words this morning.

Since having me lunch I've managed to write another 1250 words in about 5 hours and my muse is firing on all cylinders now, just as I take my prescription pills and hit the sack.

Typical, ain't it!  lol

Tomorrow I'm going to write chapters 4, 5 and 6 then on Monday I'll write chapters 7-10 and have a bonus MS under my belt.

I'll then have Tuesday off and start the editing cycle on Wednesday and write a couple of synopseeeees as I go along.

Not bad going for less than a month!

Another write-athon today

Just finished writing today's 4th chapter.  Yay!

That means that, in theory, if I have another good writing day tomorrow, I'll have written a 50k word MG novel in 17 days... that beats my record up to now by 3 days!

Going to try and write another 3 chapters today and 4 more tomorrow then that's the novel finished in 18 days!  Yay!

I will definitely finish the JanNoWriMo novel by Friday even if I only write 2k a day!  Yay!

Having a mini break to stretch my legs and arms a bit, then I'll write the 4th chapter of the day.

Means that I'll be 2 days ahead of myself when I go to bed tonight which is totally awesome!

Already taken my supplements and they are kicking in so I'm going to try and get my muse to help me write another 4 chapters today.

Up to chapter 35 now! Yay!

Wrote a huge 4 chapters today, and the only difference between today and yesterday, was that I took my supplements as soon as I came down this morning!

Means that I've only got another 11 chapters to write and it's finished!

If I write 2 chapters a day, I'll be finished by lunchtime on Saturday then I can have a long soak in a hot bubble bath in celebration!

Just starting to tie up loose ends slowly but surely then that's one less thing I need to worry about on Friday and Saturday!

Spent the morning just surfing the interwebs and having lunch but since then I've had a very productive writing afternoon.

A few hundred words over 30,000 in 13 days ain't bad going is it!

Me pills are kicking in so I'm off to bed now... nite nite orl!

Going to write a third chapter today then head to bed, knowing that I caught up with the chapter I didn't write yesterday and I'm still a day ahead of myself!

Haven't had me lunch yet, but...

Just written 1,100 words and haven't had me lunch yet.

That's all I managed to write during the entire day yesterday!

Gonna shut down, have me lunch and write at least one more chapter this afternoon.  I'd prefer to write two more so that I'm back on track after yesterday, but I'm just gonna take things as they come this afternoon.

I've just written exactly half of the novel!  Yay!

It's at 25,303 words right now and the target is 50k words, so, in theory, I'll be finished on 22nd or 23rd January, even though I didn't start writing until 2nd January!  lol

Means I can now have an early night again!

Just finished chapter 22 so I'm still on track for finishing a day early.

Going to take me pills and head to bed for another early night now... didn't get up until 9.30 this morning!
 

22,003 words written in 9 days ain't bad going!

Just put the final full stop in chapter 20 and I've written exactly 22,003 words in 8 days because I didn't write anything on New Year's Day.  It means that in 3 days I'll be half way through writing the MS, not bad going for less than 2 weeks!

Going to jump under the shower now as a reward!

Already written one chapter today, so...

I'm gonna work on chapter 20 until lunchtime, have a shower, finish off chapter 20 then leave it at that for the day.

Chapter 20 will mean that I've completed 22,000 words in 9 days!

Not bad eh?

Doubled my intended target today!

I'm aiming to write 2,200 words a day.

I've just written my 4,400th word in 7 hours, excluding an hour for me lunch!

I don't know if it was the breakfast or the supplements that made me so creative today, but I'll definitely try it again tomorrow!

3 chapters written today!!

The only thing I did differently today was have breakfast and taken my supplements, but I've written 50% more than I did yesterday already and haven't finished yet!

2 chapters written and I haven't even had my lunch yet!

Those Jaffa cakes and me supplements worked amazingly for me this morning!

Just finished chapter 16 and I've only been writing since 9.30 this morning... it's now 1.15pm and I've already written my target wordcount for the day!

I'll definitely be having breakfast and supplements every morning from now on!

Chapter 15 written already!

The eating and taking my supplements first thing definitely helped to kick my muse into action this morning!

Just written chapter 15 and it's not even lunchtime yet, so I'll start writing chapter 16 now and finish it off after lunch, then see how time is going and I might be able to write chapter 17 today too!

I need to eat before I start writing, by the looks of it

I'd always thought it was because I felt more creative when it was dark outside but I've just discovered that I need to eat to get the creative juices flowing... it's 9.45am and I've just had 12 jaffa cakes and the writing is flowing amazingly well now!

Gonna take me supplements now to try and load up on vitamins that my body needs, then keep writing until lunchtime, eat and carry on writing this afternoon!

A lot of difficult questions in this chapter, but I hope I'm doing them justice.

Tears have been shed both in the MS and IRL.  Another 1,100 to write today in chapter 14 then I can have another early night again.

That's today's 2 chapters written, so...

Just finished chapter 12 so I'm going to take my pills for a super-early night to make up for the late night I had yesterday.

The main arc of the novel is in...

Chapter 11 has the most intense arc of the story... there will be a few others as the story continues, but not so intense as the chapter 11 one.

There's going to be an arc where Lisa's dad finally goes back to his parents while Lisa is out of the house, another when dad and daughter finally meet and another as Lisa works through her questions and anger about her dad, but none of those will be as intense.

Is the 11th chapter too soon to have the main arc though?

After 6 hours sleep...

Got to sleep at just gone midnight.

Woke up at 6am and came down 'cos I didn't take my pills after all.

Got logged in and started writing straight away.

Lisa's dad's return is going to be discussed in chapter 11 so getting going is going to be all I need to do to get chapters 11 and 12 written today... wish me luck!

After a mini disaster...

I deleted 800 words and kept writing because my maths was so wrong.

I then stupidly saved the file with the same name and closed Word.

I asked for Steve's help then gave up, re-wrote the 800 words that I deleted and wrote another 2,200 words so I'm back on track again and it's not even midnight yet.

So proud of myself for everything I've achieved in the last 3 hours so I'm going to take me pills and head to bed with a relieved smile on my face.

Still on track for finishing the MG novel I'm writing for JanNoWriMo by the last week of January and I'll still be able to meet up with a couple of friends too... I can so do this!

As of last night, I'm back on track to finish writing "Don't bother" on 23rd January, as long as I keep writing 2 chapters a day!

Started off badly, just staring at a blank document until 12.30pm, had me lunch at 1.30 and got a second wind.

Wrote 2 chapters and I'm hoping it'll be easier to start tomorrow!  lol

Chris and Lisa have found an app on their mobile phones so that Chris can show Lisa what the tree fort is like before she arrives at her grandparents house the next week for the whole of the Summer holidays.

Today is another month of writing another...

2017 is the start of the first JanNoWriMo and I'm gonna write 2 chapters of "Don't bother" a day so that I can finish it off by the end of January.
